  • Crazy Egg - The Paper Store partners with Crazy Egg to provide website and marketing insights through anonymous customer data. Crazy Eggs' privacy policy is available here. You may opt-out of anonymous tracking here.
  • The Paper Store shares your information with other companies (through cooperative database partners) whose products and services might be of interest to you. You can opt-out by submitting a request using our contact us form or by calling (844) 480-7100 and speaking with our Customer Service Dept.
  • Hallmark Crown Rewards Loyalty Program – The Hallmark Gold Crown Rewards Loyalty Program is administered by Hallmark and provided to The Paper Store as a service. When you sign up for the Hallmark Gold Crown Rewards Loyalty Program, your information will be shared with Hallmark and you may receive marketing communications directly from Hallmark.   • Other – The Paper Store may disclose your personal information to third parties only (i) as required by law or regulation or as we believe in good faith that disclosure of such personal information is reasonably necessary to: (1) satisfy any applicable law or regulation, (2) to respond to claims and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order or legal process served on us, (3) to protect and defend our rights or property and/or the rights or property of third parties, as permitted by law, (4) to detect, prevent or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues; or (5) to enforce our Terms of Use; and/or (ii) with our service providers solely for the purpose of providing certain services to maintain and operate the Site or to help us deliver products and services to you.

We may use the information we collect from you in the following ways

  • To improve the online in store customer experience by delivering relevant products and services
  • To deliver timely and targeted coupons, catalogs, emails, in-store receipt messages, birthday, half-birthday, advertising and social media
  • To respond to customer service requests or inquiries
  • To administer contests, promotions, surveys
  • To ask for ratings and reviews of services or products
  • To manage purchases, orders, payments, returns/exchanges, customer service notifications, wish lists, customer preferences and subscriptions
  • To conduct tests, research and analysis
  • To manage teacher, military and senior affinity discount programs

Third-party Automated Collection

We and our service providers use cookies, tags, scripts or other technologies to anonymously collect and store certain types of information (e.g. browser type, time and date, advertising information, session, click and conversion information, hardware/software information, cookie and session ID) whenever you interact with us or our third-party services providers. For example, we allow third-party companies such as Google to place tags on our web site once approved through our tagging process. The tags may collect information from your interactions. Third-party service providers use the information collected to improve your experience, to automate communications, to improve site search and, where applicable, to notify you of products and services that are of interest to you. Our Privacy Policy does extend to third-party companies.


We use cookies, tags, scripts or other technologies to improve the performance of our website and create personalized online experiences. Some examples of what this allows us to do are:

  • Remember the items placed in your shopping bag
  • Recognize when you return to our website to manage your preferences and create content specific to your interests
  • Identify how you reached our website and the products you are searching to improve marketing
  • Determine if you opened an email to reduce unwanted sends and improve personalization
  • Speed up check-out by remembering your account information (if applicable)

Please refer to your device browser settings to enable, disable, or turn on notifications when cookies are being used. Be aware that if you disable cookies or turn them off, some of the features of the web site may not function properly. However, you will still be able to place orders.


Items may be delivered by UPS or USPS. Any delivery times provided on the website are estimates only. Exceeding these times shall in no event be held against The Paper Store or give rise to any cancellation of the contract or to any indemnity whatsoever for damages and interest. The risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon The Paper Store’s delivery to the shipper. Items are always shipped at the risk of the customer, who must check their good condition at delivery. Any problem concerning delivery (damaged parcels, items missing from The Paper Store invoice accompanying them, etc.) must be brought to the attention of The Paper Store within a reasonable time by contacting The Paper Store Customer Service by phone or by email. Return Policy

Returning to a local store location for The Paper Store is the quickest way to receive your refund or credit. Please follow the steps below to ensure a successful return. How to Return an Item

STEP 1: Choose your Method

  1. Return an item to your local The Paper Store.
  2. If you would prefer to mail your online order back to our Returns Center, please include your packing slip or a copy of your order confirmation with your return and mail it to our Returns Center.

STEP 2: Follow these detailed guidelines for returns

  • Most item(s) purchased at may be returned within 45 days of purchase. Items returned 46 – 60 days after purchase may be returned only in stores for a store credit.
  • Refunds require a Return Merchandise Authorization Form to be completed and included for a return. Your packing slip may not be used in order to complete a return.
  • Returned items must be in the manufacturer’s saleable, like-new condition with the original packaging materials (including the bar code/UPC label), accessories, and instructions. The Paper Store reserves the right to deny any return not meeting these guidelines.
  • Items purchased at one of The Paper Store locations and carried out may only be returned at a store location. This excludes items purchased in store and shipped to home.

Step 3: Refund Method

Refunds will be issued in the same form as the original payment except as noted below:

  • If a gift receipt, online packing slip, or shipment confirmation email is presented for a return, the refund will be issued in the form of a merchandise card for use in-store.
  • Any refunds for items returned 46-60 days after purchase (online or in store), will be issued as a merchandise card for use in-store.

Store Manager approval (or Customer Service for online returns) is required for returns made without a receipt. A merchandise credit for use in-store will be issued at the current selling price.

Items non-eligible for returns or exchanges:

  • Sale and Clearance Merchandise
  • Holiday Decor Items are not eligible for return after the Holiday (for example, Christmas decorations cannot be returned after Christmas)
  • Personalized and Customized Merchandise
  • Gift Card purchases
  • Hand Sanitizer, Masks, Disinfectants and other forms of PPE
  • Squishmallows
  • Perishable Food and Candy

How to Return a Damaged Item:

  • For in store returns: The original receipt will be needed along with the Store Manager’s approval. A merchandise credit to be used in store will be issued if approved.
  • For online returns: Please include your Return Merchandise Authorization Form (RMA), Shipping Confirmation Email, or a copy of your Order Confirmation Email inside your package and mail it to our Returns Center. If you have any questions you may call Customer Service: (844) 480-7100 or contact them via email. Please have your online order confirmation handy when contacting Customer Service.
  • We are unable to accept returns on merchandise damaged by the customer.
