Our Top 5 Family Friendly Halloween Flicks

October is the perfect time of year to curl up on the couch and binge on Halloween movies. However, if you’ve got little ones running around during these 31 days of spooky bliss, then you might want to think twice about popping in your favorite Freddy or Jason flick! Luckily, there are plenty of family friendly Halloween movies out there that are just as enjoyable for adults as they are for kids (spoiler alert: they’re mostly Disney movies…because Disney is awesome).

We asked around and came up with a short list of top Halloween movies that the entire family can enjoy! Check your cable guide or streaming catalogs, and you’ll probably be able to catch all of these throughout the month – if you don’t own them already, that is!

As if this one wouldn’t be on the list! This is a Halloween staple, for sure, and parts of it were even filmed in Salem, Massachusetts!

Everyone’s favorite, friendly ghost! If you were alive in the 90’s, then you definitely remember Casper. You may even still have a Pizza Hut cup with him on it!

This one’s a twofer! Whether it’s Halloween or Christmas, this groundbreaking, animated musical hits all the right notes.
