Spring has finally arrived, and we couldn’t be more thrilled about it! Finally, the cold and dreary winter weather has washed away, and we can finally bask in the glow of that spring sunshine! One of the best things about this season, in our opinion, is that it’s a season of change – flowers begin to bloom again, the days get longer, and the weather starts to get warmer!
With all that in mind, we wanted to share some of our favorite spring activities that are sure to whisk away any leftover, winter blues!
Get Outside & Get Active
You’ve been cooped up all winter long, snuggled underneath blankets and watching so many reruns of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. that you can now quote the entire series (which don’t get us wrong, isn’t necessarily a bad thing), but let’s take a break. (oh…my…God yes, that was a shameless show reference, we couldn’t help ourselves!) Getting outside is a simple and easy way to begin to enjoy the season and all that it has to offer. You can take a bike-ride through local neighborhoods, go hiking through any local trails in your area, and even end the day with a picnic in the park – as the saying goes, “The world is your oyster!” Get out there and explore what’s around you!
Start A Garden
Gardening can be a great way to de-stress while also enjoying the great outdoors. No matter what kind of garden you plant, giving back to nature is good for the earth and good for your soul as well! Starting a garden can also add an extra pop of color to your yard, which is an added bonus for you and your next-door neighbors to enjoy. If a vegetable garden is more your style, you can grow delicious foods that you can use for your own meals or donate to local food pantries. Either way, it’s a feel-good activity that anyone can enjoy!
Plan A Trip
Whether it’s a family vacation or a girls’ long weekend, start planning a trip to somewhere new and see some sights! Welcome in the changing seasons with new experiences that you can share with others and that will last you a lifetime!
